SUMMARY:Coastal Cleanup Day
DESCRIPTION:Join Pack 662 for Coastal Cleanup Day on Saturday\, September 20\, 2025\, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. This annual event is organized locally by I Love A Clean San Diego and is part of the global International Coastal Cleanup facilitated by The Ocean Conservancy. \nSince 1985\, Coastal Cleanup Day has brought together volunteers across San Diego County—and around the world—to remove pollution from our oceans\, waterways\, and local environments. In California\, collected data is shared with the California Coastal Commission to contribute to the world’s largest marine debris database. \nBy participating\, you’ll be joining hundreds of thousands of volunteers in over 70 countries working toward a cleaner\, healthier planet. \nMore Details to Come: Specific site assignment\, parking information\, and supply details will be shared once registration opens on August 25. \nUniform & Gear: Scouts should wear their Class B (Pack T-shirt) and bring their 6 essentials. Comfortable shoes\, a hat\, sunscreen\, and a reusable water bottle are also recommended. \nRSVP: Please RSVP in Bandapp so we know who to expect and can coordinate our group’s participation once final details are released. \n\nFAQ\nDo Scouts need to wear uniforms?Scouts should wear their Class B Pack T-shirt for this event. \nCan families join?Yes! Parents\, siblings\, and extended family are welcome to participate. \nWill supplies be provided?Yes—cleanup supplies will be provided\, but reusable gloves are encouraged.
