The Bear Rank in Cub Scouts is a pivotal stage tailored for our third-grade Cubs, typically aged 8 and 9. As they embark on the Bear Rank, these young adventurers encounter a series of exciting challenges and unique activities, bridging the foundational experiences of the Wolf Rank to the upcoming adventures in Webelos. This phase readies our Cubs for increased responsibility and leadership within the scouting community.

The Bear Rank

Tailored to foster personal growth, teamwork, and a deeper connection to scouting principles, the Bear Rank engages Cubs in a variety of achievements. These span diverse areas such as outdoor skills, community service, personal fitness, and practical life skills. The Bear Rank aims to instill a sense of curiosity, responsibility, and citizenship in our young Scouts as they progress through the program.

The Bear Rank provides an enriching experience, combining outdoor exploration, personal development, and a sense of community. As our Cubs navigate the Bear Rank, they not only experience a variety of adventures but also develop essential life skills, build lasting friendships, and embrace the values that define scouting. Bear Advancements

The Bear Rank in Cub Scouts is a pivotal stage tailored for our third-grade Cubs, typically aged 8 and 9. Bear Scout Uniform

Bear Cub Scout

The Bear Cub Scout uniform has the following parts:

  1. 1. Shirt—The official blue uniform shirt is available with long or short sleeves and has button-flap pockets.
  2. Pants— Shorts, long pants, skorts, and roll up pants all are in official blue.
  3. Belt—Official navy-blue web belt with metal buckle.
  4. Socks—Official socks are available in three lengths: ankle, crew, and knee. Bear socks have a yellow band on the top.
  5. Hat—Official blue hat with light blue front and Bear emblem.
  6. Neckerchief—Light blue triangular neckerchief with Bear logo. Official BSA neckerchiefs are the only neckerchiefs that are part of the uniform.
  7. Neckerchief slide—Official gold-tone metal slide with light blue Bear emblem. Cub Scouts may wear handmade neckerchief slides
