There’s no better way to kick off another exciting year of scouting than by gathering together under the stars for a fun, relaxed evening with friends. Pack 662’s Welcome Back Movie Night is your chance to reconnect after summer break, welcome new faces, and enjoy a family-friendly movie in a casual, outdoor setting.

Instead of our originally scheduled beach cleanup, we’ll be swapping sandy shores for popcorn and a big screen. Don’t worry—our service projects aren’t going away! We’ll be participating in a Coastal Cleanup event in September, so you can still get your hands dirty for a good cause later this fall.

A Night to Connect and Celebrate

Whether your Scout has been counting the days until their next adventure or is brand new to our pack, this is the perfect opportunity to catch up with old friends and make new ones. Scouts are encouraged to invite a friend—sharing the joy of scouting is one of the best ways to grow our community.

We’re asking all Scouts to come dressed in their Class B uniforms (Pack 662 t-shirt) for a comfortable and spirited evening. Parents and siblings are warmly invited to join in on the fun.

What to Bring

To make the most of the outdoor movie experience, here’s what we recommend:

• Camping chair for a comfortable seat

• Blanket if the evening turns cool

• A friend to introduce to scouting!

The pack will provide popcorn and drinks, so you can just relax and enjoy the evening.

Why We’re Excited

Movie nights like these aren’t just about watching a film—they’re about building connections. This casual gathering is a great way for our leaders to share upcoming plans, for Scouts to get to know each other, and for families to see firsthand what makes our pack so special.

We’ll have plenty of time before the movie starts to mingle, enjoy refreshments, and talk about what’s coming up in the 2025–2026 scouting year.
